40 x 40

“40 x 40” is a modular series of works based on two basic rules: a 40 × 40cm frame and white.
Within these limited conditions, the artist experiments with structural variation through differences in material, density, pressure, and deformation.
Rule is not intended to restrict freedom, but rather serves as a reference point, revealing subtle deviations arising from repetition.
Each individual unit exists independently, yet when arranged, it becomes a system.

“40 X 40″은 40 × 40cm 규격과 흰색이라는 두 가지 규칙을 기본 단위로 하는 모듈형 작업 시리즈이다.
제한된 조건 안에서 재료, 밀도, 압력, 변형의 차이를 통해 구조적 변이를 실험한다.
규칙은 자유를 억제하기 위한 것이 아니라, 반복 속에서 발생하는 미세한 편차를 드러내는 기준점으로 작동한다.
개별 단위는 독립적으로 존재하면서도 배열될 때 하나의 시스템으로 읽힌다.
